Private Guide and guided tours in Chengdu, China

In 1998, I graduated from Wuhan University tourism school. Having been working in tourism circle for more than 10 years, i gathered rich experience in west China tours, Sichuan, Tibet, Qinghai etc.

I once guided a group to sichuan jiuzhaigou national park, zoige(Ruo'ergai ) grassland, flower lake, langmusi between sichuan and gansu province, xiahe labrang monastery and Qinghai repkong area. It was very impessive. We saw not only the amazingly beautiful nature like the layer waterfalls, crystal clear lakes in jiuzhaigou, the large area of highland grassland, clear blue sky at Zoige, colorful flowers growing underneath the water at flower lake, but also the nomad tibetan minority people at Zoige and the monks at we came across some local nomads who put up their tents on the grassland. Their herd and flocks of yaks, sheeps were eating grasses near the tents. We also entered a tent of a family, the warm-hearted host invited us to have some butter tea, i liked it very much but my friends from italy obviously couldn't hold it even though they pretened to sip it.

When we visited Langmusi Tibetan monastery, we had a good talk with the young monk kids studying in the monasteries. They told us that they all came from the nearby provinces Sichuan,Qinghai and Gansu. Each family will let lat least one kid go to study in the monastery and be a monk if it has more than child. The pity was that the young monks don’t speak a lot of Chinese so we get to know them limited. At labrang monastery, Xiahe, Gansu province we met Gangjian who is the officially designated interpreter of Labrang monastery, one of the 6 tibetan Buddhist yellow sect monastery. He told us everything of his temple with fluent English. He answered all of the foreigners’ questions patiently and clearly even for those sensitive political issues.

It is unforgettable experience for me and I’d like to go again if there are visitors who want to go with me.
