We were lucky to engage John last-minute for a day trip to the Great Wall at Mutianyu and a visit to the Summer Palace. John is an excellent (very safe and attentive) driver and guide who was quite informative about the sights we visited. He definitely knows his way around, gives honest and informed recommendations, and provided extra touches on our outing (an English guide to the Summer Palace, a hat to protect from the sun at the Great Wall) that we greatly appreciated. The car is kept in excellent condition and we were very comfortable in it with John at the wheel. Deborah and I have just got home but we wanted to say that having you as guide was truley a pleasure.
If you can post this review then we would be very happy:
John Guo was a star from the outset, if you are planning to travel to China then John is your man. We was driven around in John's comfortable car to see the Great Wall, an ancient walled city outside Beijing and the palace of Heaven.
Seeing the Great Wall at sunrise was amazing. and without the advice from John we would never of thought of Simitai or Jinshangling.
John also insisted on us having his cell phone number for anything, and overall was just a great guide and help.
There are quite a few guides in China whose spoken english isnt great but John speaks excellent english too so another bonus.
Take care my friend and if we hear of anyone travelling to Beijing we will definately throw you name at them.
