It is a model reconstruction of prisoners, thatched detention huts. Displayed photos and illustrations of the atrocities against the prisoners fill in the unfulfilled parts of the dreadful tale War Cemetery:A gruesome reminder of the World War II, this cemetery contains the remains of 6,982 war prisoners who lost their lives during the war. The Bridge over the River Kwai: The iron monument to the cruelty of war, the Bridge was part of the Dearth Railway and rebuilt after the war Take a ride through history on the Death Railway, passing lush forest scenery. Railway enthusiasts may travel along one of Southeast Asia's most historical tracks, namely the surviving stretch of the Death Railway. The winding track crosses the world-famous bridge and provides a clear indication of how difficult constructing the original track (long since repaired and restored) must have been. One particularly exhilarating stretch sees the line parallel the curving Kwai Noi on a wooden viaduct towering above the river and hugging a steep, cave-ridden cliff Optional Tour: (400 baht per person for admission fee) Wat Pra Luangta Bua Yanasampanno Forest Monastery or Tiger Temple This famed & much visited Temple is a must see whilst you are in the Kanchanaburi area.
