Day : 1 – Tashkent Arrival in Tashkent at and transfer to the Hotel for the rest of the night, Hotel booked for early arrival. After breakfast enjoy a sightseeing tour to the old part of the city of Tashkent: Kukeldash Madrasa, which was originally an Islamic seminary , Barak-Khan Madrasa, a late 16th century Islamic seminary, where the Sunni Mufti of Central Asia houses, visit Museum of Decorative and Applied Arts to view the very fine “suzani ” and visit Chorsu bazaar, where craftsmen display their art. Dinner.
Day : 2 Tashkent – Urgench – Khiva After breakfast transfer to the airport for flight to Urgench at ... Arrive and transfer to the Hotel in Khiva. Today you will have a tour in the walled city of Khiva, where you can explore the narrow, cobble-stoned streets. Khiva has been almost perfectly preserved in its original form. You can visit the Djuma Mosque with its intricate woodcarvings, the blue-tiled Tash-Khauli Palace, and the Kunya Ark Palace, harem, mosques, madrassas and other monuments of architecture. Lunch Afternoon sightseeing tour is continued and you will have some free time to wonder through old Khiva and view the magnificent architecture in the golden light of the setting sun. Dinner.
Day : 3 Khiva - Bukhara After breakfast departure by air-conditioning bus for Bukhara along the Kizil-Kum dessert, 450 km, 6 -7 hours en route. On the way stop for the view of Oxus river and picnic lunch. Arrive and transfer to Hotel. Dinner Day : 4 Bukhara After breakfast walking tour of the exotic old city of Bukhara: the historic center of Bukhara Labi-Khauuz – a water pond with its surrounding old madrassas, marvel at the Kalyan Minaret or “The Tower of Death” A 150-foot tall tower built in the 12th century, Miri-Arab Medressa and Trade Domes. Lunch Afternoon , you will visit the restored Home of a Rich Merchant, where you can discuss the traditional Uzbek lifestyle and learn about Uzbek clothing. Day : 5 Bukhara – Gijduvan – Bukhara After breakfast visit the Summer Palace of the last Emir of Bukhara – Mokhi-Khosa to see collection of hand-made “suzani and then visit ceramist family in Gijduvan to see his work and have a lunch. Afternoon return to Bukhara for sightseeing, visit Ark - a fortress built by the emir centuries ago and still standing today, wnderfully preserved, which today houses a Museum of history. Next building across the street is the Bolo-Hauz Mosque, Chashma Ayub Shrine, and Samani Mausoleum of IX-X century. In the evening enjoy traditiona Uzbek music, dancing and a fasion show. Show followed by dinner at madrasa Nodir Divan-Begi Madrassah.
Day : 6 Bukhara After continue sightseeing today we visit Mausoleum of Bahouddin Naqshband, Chor Minor and Chor Bakr necropolis. Dinner.
Day : 7 Bukhara – Sarmysh – Nurata – Yangigazgan After breakfast drive by by air-conditioned bus to Nurata, Yurta camps, on the way visit Sarmish mountains where also you can see petrogliphs dates to the bronze time. Dinner at the Yurta camp.
Day : 8 Nurata – Samarkand Breakfast, ride on camels, drive to the Lake of Aiderkul. Afternoon drive to Samarkand, 3-4 hours en route, arrive and transfer to the hotel. Dinner.
Day : 9 Samarkand Breakfast.Today you can explore Samarkand, the grand capital of Tamerlane’s Empire during the 14th and 15th centuries. The first stop is the Registan, where you will find the most breathtaking historical monuments in Central Asia. Following the Registan you will visit the Tomb of Tamerlane. Lunch Afternoon you can visit the Observatory of Ulug Bek, the grandson of Tamerlane, who was one of the most sophisticated astronomers of his time. Afterwards, you can see Shakh-i-Zinda, a complex of Mausoleums from the 14th century. Dinner
Day : 10 Samarkand After breakfast we drive 30 kilometers from Samarkand to visit Ismail Al-Bukhari mausoleum. Afternoon you will see the Bibi-Khanum Mosque, which was supposedly built for Tamerlane’s Chinese wife, then you will have an opportunity to mingle with the local people at Samarkand’s main bazaar, and visit Samarkand carpet factory. Dinner.
Day : 11 Samarkand - Shakhrizabs - Samarkand After breakfast drive by air-conditioned bus to Shakhrizabs – The birthplace of Tamerlane, Shakhrisabz reached its zenith in the 14th and 15th centuries, then declined into a provincial center. Explore the ancient buildings, including Tamerlane’s Ak-Sarai Palace and Jehongir Mausoleum, the burial place of Tamerlane’s son. Afternoon return to Samarkand Dinner.
Day : 12 Samarkand – Tashkent After breakfast drive to Tashkent, 300 km, 4-5 hours en route. Arrive and transfer to the Hotel. Afternoon time to sleep, to pack and to shopping, to wonder in the main street of Tashkent, where you can see the work of local artists and craftsmen. This evening you are invited to visit the house of the fifth generation of ceramic artists to discuss his work and have a special dinner at his house.
Day : 13 Tashkent - Transfer to the International airport for flight to next destination.
